heart-space-allocations, oh my god!

Hellos are never painful.
Goodbyes are never good.

But some things have to be done
sometime or the other,
however they make you feel...
a familiar lappy, a familiar room, a familiar dim white light, and three very special people. there are innumerable thoughts running around in my head- too fast to catch hold of. there is so much i want to say and yet suddenly i do not know how to put them into words. it is such a beautiful moment... this one. we are here. one hour and things will change. change forever. and i know... all those plans we made in all those lachchha sessions will remain plans, but we wont forget them, will we?
A leaf is lying on the ground, detached from the tree. Another one falls, right on top of it. And a third one, a few metres away.
Now the question is, do they have the memory of ever being up there, together???

Of Sunny Faces on Rainy Days

And it's raining happiness. It's flooded- literally. And there are happy rainbows arching all the way across the water-painted sky. The sun peeping from behind the golden cloud chariot as if to marvel at its own creation.
And then there are happy faces. Not just smiling, but happy; like those bright umbrellas skipping across the water puddles.
When I woke up today morning, I didn't think I would like the day. Strange that it should end with me loving it so much.

He hauled the wounded over his shoulder. He had been shot, the precious diamond in his pocket. Many lives had been lost in pursuit of that dirty stone, women raped, children maimed. Amid gunshots and bombings they had travelled miles to find it.They met rebel child soldiers and slayed them. He killed the colonel who was sponsoring him in his search of the stone and who had them at gun point minutes ago. With a whole nation comprising of refugees and rebels, everyone wanted the stones. They would betray friends for it, take hundreds of lives in cold blood. It was amidst all this that they had set in search of this jewel. One was making the other find it in exchange for the safety of his family. They eventually found it,a stone for one and a son for the other. And then the first one was shot, the precious diamond in his pocket. The other saw he had been wounded. He moved towards him, emotionless. He could  have the diamond and his son both. You hope he
doesn't kill him for the stone. You've seen all the blood shed over it and you can't take it any more. You long for a glimpse of humanity and kindness. You can't accept there is no goodness in the world. You pray silently...please don't do this.
And just when you are about to lose all faith in mankind, he hauls him over his shoulder and tries to take him to safety.
